water refilling station

In my water station,  It purifies water by diffusion using reverse osmosis membrane, water first flow to these three multimedia tanks. The first tank contains sand which removes particles like rusts and other solid particles. The second tank contains resin which makes the water soft to avoid damage to the reverse osmosis membrane. The third tank contains activated carbon which removes chemicals in the water like chlorine. These chemicals are not only harmful to humans but also they damage the reverse osmosis membrane.

This is where we put the salt which regenerates the resin to be use again.

After conditioning the water, it passes to this tube housing which contains the reverse osmosis membrane.
The reverse osmosis membrane removes particles from the water by the process of diffusion. Even particles as small as bacteria is filtered through this system.

Finally the water passes through an ultraviolet housing which expose the water to ultraviolet rays to kill any remaining bacteria in the water which may have been contaminated after passing the membrane.
